Student Union Governance

This page links the primary governing documents that our student union adheres too.

The Governing Body of a Student Union is required by the Education Act of 1994 to take fair and reasonable measures to guarantee the efficiency of the students' union governance, financial management, and democratic processes, leading to the creation of a Code of Practice that establishes this connection.

Working in a member-led environment, ensuring that charitable goals are pursued for their members as beneficiaries, having a high turnover of sabbatical officers and student trustees, and juggling the need to be financially sound and risk-aware organizations while ensuring progression and inclusivity of their members are a few of the major challenges.
